Tea in the Morning: Thoughts Non Sequitur

I love this song. It exemplifies the feelings I have, a longing to be home and sitting next to the fire, in the soft glow of Christmas lights. I want to cup a mug of hot chocolate and have my cats nestled next to me. We have a Frank Sinatra Christmas CD at home and if I were home, it would be on.  

Today, my a cappella group and I went to go sing carols at HUP (The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania). My group and I were in the oncology wing. it was so rewarding to sing for people who were going through such a hard time. I almost cried when we sang for one family. The mother of one woman who looked to be sleeping said her daughter loves music and started to tear up. I want to be able to go back and sing all the time. I want to see smiles on their faces and give them comfort.

How to French Braid your own hair!

I do this all the time, especially when my hair isn’t looking too hot. This is also a fast and easy way to style your hair. I saw a friend of mine to it to her hair in 5th grade and I was so jealous! I was like “I’m going to learn how to do that.” So I practiced everyday after school until I got good enough that my arms didn’t get tired and have to take breaks. Also, it gets looser throughout the day, so in an hour or two, you’ll get that nice, piece-y, loose braid look that all the celebrities have. I’ve been complemented on it and now you will too!
